Touro College in Israel is pleased to announce the dedication of the  Sarah Rebecca Lander Library, in memory of the beloved wife of Touro's Founding President, Rabbi Dr. Bernard Lander.  The dedication will take place in Jerusalem in the presence of  Dr. Lander and family on October 23, 2008.

The dedication will be delivered by Dean Yitzchak S. Handel.  A special guest lecture will be presented by Rabbi Berel Wein entitled "Jewish Education throughout the Ages."

The Touro College in Israel library has expanded its print holdings to include titles in the fields of psychology, sociology, business and other disciplines.  These print resources, in addition to the Touro College Virtual Library form the basis of our growing collection.

The faculty and staff of Touro College in Israel look forward to welcoming Dr. Lander and his family to Jerusalem and celebrating the dedication of the Sarah Rebecca Lander Library.
 

 

 

 

 

 

In keeping with Touro College's renewal commitment to a strong and expanded presence in Israel a new virtual library was inaugurated. Students and faculty have access to hundreds of thousands of volumes in their relevant disciplines. The virtual library is made possible through close cooperation with the Touro New York library.
