1. Total number of courses required: 20 (60 credits at 3 credits per course). They are:

PSY 636 - Appraisal in Child and Adolescent Counseling I.
PSY 637 - Appraisal in Child and Adolescent Counseling II.
PSY 638 - Assessment and Clinical Evaluation in Addiction Counseling.
PSY 640 - Legal and Ethical Issues in Psychology and Counseling.
PSY 662 - Psychology of Adult Life and Aging.
PSY 670 -Best Practices in Crisis Intervention.
PSY 678 - Life Style and Career Development.
PSY 680 - Group Dynamics.
PSY 681 - Psychopathology.
PSY 683 - Assessment and Appraisal of Individuals, Couples, Families and Groups.

* PSY 611 has been replaced by PSY 604 - (Statistics for School Psychologists) in the School Psychology Program, and is accepted as well by the Mental Health Counseling program.
2. Maximum number of courses permitted online is 8. They are:
PSY 640, PSY 662, PSY 683, PSY 707, PSY 638. (These are given only online).
PSY (EdPS) 620, PSY 632, PSY 678. (These are sometimes given in class and sometimes online).
3. Courses accepted by both School Psychology and Mental Health Counseling:
PSY (EdPS) 620, PSY 601, PSY 604, PSY 630, PSY 631, PSY 632, PSY 640, PSY 670.
PSY 631, PSY 640, and PSY 670 will not be given in the School Psychology Program as of Fall 2009. The only courses that continue to apply to both programs are PSY (EdPS) 620, PSY 601, PSY 604, PSY 630, and PSY 632.
4. Courses that must be taken in America are:
PSY 681, PSY 770, PSY 771.
5. Courses good only for masters in Mental Health Counseling that can be given in class at TCI: PSY 631, PSY 636, PSY 637, PSY 670, *PSY 678, PSY 680, PSY 702.
6. Maximum number of credits per semester is 12. Can be all in class, all online, or mixed.
7. Students who want to take both the School Psychology and Mental Health Counseling programs and get both degrees are advised to first complete the School Psychology program and then join the Mental Health Counseling program. Many of the courses from School Psychology will count towards the Mental Health Counseling degree.
