If I am already a student at Touro College in NY do I need to apply separately to TCI?
No
Who is eligible to take courses at TCI?
Anyone who does not hold an Israeli passport.
I have dual American/Israeli citizenship. Can I attend TCI?
Sorry. The disqualifying factor is Israeli citizenship.

Are there separate classes for men and women?
Yes. All our classes are separate. The current schedule includes
- Classes for Women: Sunday — Thursday, 9:00 am until 6:30 pm
- Classes for Men: Sunday — Thursday, 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm and Friday mornings
Are the lectures and textbooks in English?
Yes.
Where can I buy textbooks?
Textbooks are sold as a service in the TCI office on a first come first served basis. In addition, books are sometimes available in local university bookshops or online.
How many credits can I take each semester?
Courses are generally 3 credits and students may take a maximum of 15 credits.

How much is tuition?
For the academic year 2006-2007 the tuition has been:
- Undergraduate: $290 per credit (most courses are 3 credits)
- Graduate: $350 per credit (most courses are 3 credits)

Who grants degrees for TCI students?
TCI is a part of Touro College New York and your degree will be granted by Touro College in New York.
How many credits do I need to graduate from Touro College?
Undergraduate degree
- Total: 120 credits
- A minimum of 45 Touro College credits
- Minimum of 30 credits taken at Touro College in NY (not Israel)
- Minimum of 50% of credits required for your major
How many credits can I take at TCI?
Up to one course less than half of any undergraduate or graduate degree.
How do I transfer my TCI credits to NY?
Touro College in Israel is part of Touro College New York. There is no need to transfer credits.
Will my Yeshiva/Seminary credits be counted as part of the maximum allowance of 57 TCI credits?
No
